Cool. I’ve been curious about Walled City ever since I read about it in Idoru (novel by William Gibson). Never seen pictures before.

Great thing about this article is that it doesn’t include the obvious (Chernobyl/Pripyat). ;)

I … uh … honestly? Use a notebook (made of paper, which comes from trees) and a pen. Or a pencil.

Now there’s something you don’t see every day … unless you’re me and my neighbors this week. The “Eastern Front” means the 13 blocks between the fire and my house, so this makes me want to have all kinds of sex with firefighters.

Oh ... crap. I guess we’ve been lucky this past week.

Schwarzenegger was just quoted on NPR as saying CA’s firefighters are “tired…they’re burned out.” Yes, I expect they are, but pretty much any other word choice there, big guy.

That’s hilarious.

The fire is moving east and west of us. The firefighters seem to be happy with their southern defensive lines. Forecast is for less wind and more humidity.

Now there’s something you don’t see every day.
